Factors That Affect Acrylic Nail Price

The price of acrylic nails varies, with many factors influencing the price. Let’s take a closer look at each one of them.

1. Brand Of Acrylic Nails Used

Many brands produce the products needed to create acrylic nails. There are more affordable ones and more high-end brands.

If the nail salon you are going to uses a variety of brands, they can let you choose which one to use. But many reputable salons will only use high-quality brands. You can expect that their prices are higher than others.

Examples of high-quality acrylic nail brands are OPI and CND.

High-quality brands do not automatically mean they are better. There are affordable brands that can also create beautiful acrylic nails. Nail technicians just have to know how to work with them properly.

2. Acrylic Nail Length

The length of the acrylic nail that you want will affect the total cost. Longer nails require more products and more work, so you will probably need to pay more.

Some may charge you an additional $10 if your nails are long. If you don’t want to pay more for longer nails, you can simply have them cut.

3. Use Of Nail Tips, Charms, Or Gems

Acrylic nails can be as simple as clear-colored ones or single-colored nails. They can also be as extravagant as having rhinestones attached to them, commonly used for wedding-themed nails.

The more products used on your nails, the more you will be charged. If your nails are short, you can opt for nail tips to lengthen them plus use acrylics.

There are also charms, gems, rhinestones, stickers, and other tiny accessories that you can choose to add. The price of such will be added to the overall cost of your acrylic nail manicure.

4. Artistic Design

Another factor that could raise the price of your acrylic nails is artistic or creative design. Previously, we discussed adding charms or rhinestones that cause extra fees.

Even if you don’t use those, you can still be charged an additional if you have creative designs that the nail technician paints on your nails.

There are many different nail art designs that could be painted on your nails. They could use and combine different colors of acrylics to create a breathtaking design.

You can even have them copy a design you’ve seen somewhere online. Just ask them and they will provide you an estimate

5. Nail Technician/Location

Where you get your nails done, and the experience level of your tech will impact the total cost. They’re gonna cost more in Paris, France than in Paris, Texas!

Similarly, the experience level of your technician who does your acrylic nails will also affect the price. Some nail technicians charge more than others because they are already experienced or “known” in the area.

6. Cost Of Removal

Acrylic nails are durable and are a challenge to remove (though you can do so at home, if you’re careful!). Nail technicians usually remove them by grinding most of the acrylic first.

Some may also use the soaking method. This is when each finger is soaked in acetone to remove the previous acrylic nails.

Usually, removing your previous acrylic nails isn’t done for free. You could be charged a minimum of about $15 just for the removal of the acrylic nails.
