Ombre Eyebrows 101

Doing your eyebrows is an important part of doing your makeup. They help frame your face and bring the focus to your eyes.

However, even the most experienced people who do their eyebrows can sometimes get tired of having to do their eyebrows every. day.

A perfect solution for such a problem is semi-permanent eyebrow makeup. Most have already heard about microblading and microshading. This is when lines are drawn on the eyebrow area using a microneedle and pigment. It’s a bit like an eyebrow tattoo, but less invasive and painful

Microblading, might not be best suited for all, especially those who tend to have oily skin.

This is where ombre eyebrows come into the picture.

Instead of drawing lines that mimic eyebrows, tiny dots are drawn onto the area. This helps create eyebrows that look like an eyebrow pencil has been used on them. It is a perfect semi-permanent alternative to your eyebrow pencil that you have to use every day.

With this procedure, you can achieve defined and fuller brows, without needing to redo them every day.

How Much Do Ombre Eyebrows Cost?

As we’ve mentioned, ombre eyebrows can seem like they are very expensive, as you may have to spend hundreds or even a thousand dollars for them.

However, you have to remember that the results you get with the procedure can last for years as compared to your $5 eyebrow pencil which lasts for only hours.

Ombre eyebrows can seem like they are very expensive, as you may have to spend hundreds or even a thousand dollars for them.

Plus, there’s the benefit of not having to redo your eyebrows every day. Even if you go for a swim or take a shower, your eyebrows won’t be erased, as long as you follow proper aftercare.

The cost of ombre eyebrows varies depending on several factors including your location and the skills of the artist who is going to do the procedure on you.

Although it can be very tempting to have the process done by someone who offers it at a very affordable price, do your research about where to have it done.

Nobody wants a cut-rate tattoo, and you shouldn’t want cut-rate ombre brows, either!

Remember, they will be inserting pigments into your eyebrow area.

Remember, they will be inserting pigments into your eyebrow area.

That area is close to your eye. You don’t want any sub-par products used on them to lessen the risk of infecting your eye. Plus, you also want to make sure that the artist doing the procedure is well experienced! You don’t regret the results of their work.

If the ombre is not done properly, not only will that affect how the brows look, but it also affect how long the brows last, how you heal from the procedure, and if you develop any infection from it.

Are Ombre Eyebrows Worth It?

Many people have had ombre brows, and most are ecstatic with how it looks. Imagine not having to do your eyebrows every morning, or not being afraid of swimming in the pool because your eyebrow makeup could be erased.

For many, that price is well worth it for avoiding such above scenarios.

And the opportunity to make your eyebrows look more even can be frustrating and stressful even if you are already experienced with it.

Alternatives To Ombre Brows

The convenience of not having to do your eyebrows every time is worth the price of getting ombre eyebrows, especially if you can afford it. However, if the budget doesn’t permit it, there could still be other options.

Here are a few options to consider.

1. Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil

To make sure that your eyebrows last all day even if you sweat, you need a waterproof formula. There are lots of  eyebrow pencil  that are waterproof to help make sure they last throughout the day.

Although you still have to use it every day, at least you can have the convenience of having to do eyebrow touchups every few hours to make sure your makeup is still on point.

2. Eyebrow Stamp Kit

For those who are having trouble creating the shape of their eyebrows, there are now stamp kits that you can use on your eyebrows.

These  kits  include a stencil and eyebrow powder. To use this, you select the shape of the eyebrow that you want to use then hold it firmly over your eyebrows.

The eyebrow powder comes in stick packaging with a sponge on top that you dabbed over the stencil. The cutout part creates the shape of your eyebrows.

Although this product isn’t that long-lasting, it could still save you time because it is easy to use.

3. Peel-Off Eyebrow Tint

If you want a product that could last for a couple of days or weeks, then you could try the peel-off  eyebrow tints . To use this, apply the product to your eyebrows in the shape that you’d like. Then let the product set on your eyebrows for a few minutes.

It may seem that it is too dark. But don’t worry because you still have to peel it off after it sets. Once you peel it off, the tint will remain and it could last an average of three days.

4. Microblading

Microblading has long been a popular eyebrow procedure, but can be hit or miss for those with oily skin. Ombre brows work a little better in these cases, and are possibly a bit cheaper than ombre brows (but they’re in the same price range)
