Look at your eyeshadow palette, bursting with colors! Although there are now eyeliners that come in various shades and colors, wouldn’t it be nice to get the perfect color or shade that you want?

If your desired eyeliner color is in one of your eyeshadow palettes or a color-shifting one ,  you might question whether you can turn that into an eyeliner.

The good news is that you can turn any eyeshadow into an eyeliner with the use of simple products.

But for a better color payoff, it would be best to get the eyeshadows that are highly pigmented. That would also ensure that the color of your eyeliner is visible.

When making eyeshadow into an eyeliner, you’ll have the most success with loose eyeshadow , as it’s easier to use.

But you can also make use of pressed eyeshadow powder if that is all you have.

How To Make Eyeshadow Into Eyeliner

Turing your eyeshadow into eyeliner is possible, but you need something to mix with your eyeshadow powder to turn it into a liquid or paste consistency.

Here are a few ways to do that.

1. Clean Water

The simplest way to turn your eyeshadow powder into an eyeliner is to mix it with water. It is the easiest and most accessible product that you can use.

When using water, make sure that you use water that’s clean and not contaminated. Remember that you are using this near your eye and you don’t want to risk getting an infection just because you wanted to create a colorful eyeliner from your eyeshadows.

Tap water is usually clean enough.

All you have to do is to wet your angle brush with it then use it to get some eyeshadow on your eyeshadow pan.

Mixing the water from your brush and the powder will turn it into a pasty consistency. Then you could use the same angle brush to create a line on your upper and lower eyelids just like you would when you are using a liquid eyeliner.

2. Setting Spray

An alternative product that you can use to water is a ssetting spray . You may already have a beautiful dewy or matte setting spray in your makeup kit, which makes this hack easy to do because what you need is readily available to you.

Setting spray is used to prevent your makeup from smudging. The formula of the setting spray could also help make sure that the eyeliner you create out of your eyeshadow doesn’t smudge or sticks properly to your eye.

Using a setting spray is similar to using water. All you have to do is to spritz it onto your angle brush before you use it on your pressed eyeshadow.
