Eyeshadow Palette

There are lots of beauty hacks all over Tiktok, Instagram, and other social media. Many beauty gurus have their take on how to make the most out of their makeup by using it in multiple ways. Eyeshadow is a popular choice for makeup hacks due to the variety of colors available on a palette.

Look at your eyeshadow palette, bursting with colors! Although there are now eyeliners that come in various shades and colors, wouldn’t it be nice to get the perfect color or shade that you want?

If your desired eyeliner color is in one of your eyeshadow palettes or a color-shifting one ,  you might question whether you can turn that into an eyeliner.

The good news is that you can turn any eyeshadow into an eyeliner with the use of simple products.

But for a better color payoff, it would be best to get the eyeshadows that are highly pigmented. That would also ensure that the color of your eyeliner is visible.

When making eyeshadow into an eyeliner, you’ll have the most success with loose eyeshadow , as it’s easier to use.

But you can also make use of pressed eyeshadow powder if that is all you have.

To make that powdered, dry eyeshadow into an eyeliner, you need to give it moisture so that you can turn it into a paste consistency. Once you’ve done that, you can apply it.

Turing your eyeshadow into eyeliner is possible, but you need something to mix with your eyeshadow powder to turn it into a liquid or paste consistency.

Here are a few ways to do that.

1. Clean Water

The simplest way to turn your eyeshadow powder into an eyeliner is to mix it with water. It is the easiest and most accessible product that you can use.

When using water, make sure that you use water that’s clean and not contaminated. Remember that you are using this near your eye and you don’t want to risk getting an infection just because you wanted to create a colorful eyeliner from your eyeshadows.

Tap water is usually clean enough.

All you have to do is to wet your angle brush with it then use it to get some eyeshadow on your eyeshadow pan.

Mixing the water from your brush and the powder will turn it into a pasty consistency. Then you could use the same angle brush to create a line on your upper and lower eyelids just like you would when you are using a liquid eyeliner.

2. Setting Spray

An alternative product that you can use to water is a ssetting spray . You may already have a beautiful dewy or matte setting spray in your makeup kit, which makes this hack easy to do because what you need is readily available to you.

Setting spray is used to prevent your makeup from smudging. The formula of the setting spray could also help make sure that the eyeliner you create out of your eyeshadow doesn’t smudge or sticks properly to your eye.

Using a setting spray is similar to using water. All you have to do is to spritz it onto your angle brush before you use it on your pressed eyeshadow.

4. Inglot Duraline

For this, you have to buy Inglot Duraline  and use it to create an eyeliner. This liquid is waterless and transparent so it will not affect or change the color of the eyeshadow of your choice.

The good thing about coconut oil is that it can also provide some moisturizing and anti-microbial benefits when you use it.

6. An Angled Brush

Depending on how pigmented your eyeshadow is, you may effectively turn it into an eyeliner just by simply using an angled brush

To create clean brush strokes, you need an angle brush that will help you outline your eyes or create that wing. You may need to get more of the product to make sure that the color is intense and visible.

7. Use A Mixing Medium

A makeup mixing medium  is another good product to use when trying to turn your eyeshadow into an eyeliner.

This has a tacky gel consistency and could work great for glittery eyeshadows. This is great because the glitter sticks to it properly and you could expect minimal fallout.
