Work out clothes are great. They are designed for exercise. But what if you don’t have them? Does that mean you can’t work out at Anytime Fitness?

What Is The Anytime Fitness Dress Code?
Anytime Fitness doesn’t have a strict dress code, which is good. Flexibility is always helpful! But you should still think about what you’re going to wear.
With a gym like Anytime Fitness, you are bound to be with other people while working out. Although you might want to have the gym all for yourself, that rarely happens (unless you show up at 3:30am).
AF is open all night, and of course, fewer people are there late. But there are still other people who also prefer to work out during those wee hours of the night.
You don’t have to interact with the other people there if you don’t want to. However, you still need to think about what you are going to wear while working out.
Although it doesn’t directly affect others, what you wear could be distracting to others. Additionally, wearing the wrong type of clothing can put you at more risk of injuring yourself or having accidents that could have been easily avoided.
Typically, beginners struggle to find things to wear at the gym. However, even those with lots of experience can still have trouble figuring out what to wear for various exercise activities.
Wear whatever you want to wear, but make sure it is appropriate for workouts. We suggest refraining from wearing very revealing clothes. Be sensible.
Additionally, baggy clothes, jewelry, and other accessories are not advisable. They can easily get caught in the machines.
The Appropriate Gym Clothes
Anytime Fitness lets you wear whatever you want to wear. They aren’t really strict about what to wear but like most gyms, they just require you to wear those that are appropriate for what you are doing.

Whether you are into strength training or cardio training, one of the essential things that you should wear is trainers. Correct footwear will help avoid accidents and will also help you protect your toes.
The gym isn’t the place for flip-flops. Wearing those will just put your feet at risk of injury. Lightweight trainers are best because they support your feet while providing a cushion as well. This is especially true when you are doing exercises that place an impact on your feet like running.
If you came to the gym for weight training, then flat shoes that are supportive may be a better option. There are also shoes ideal for cycling or spinning if those are the exercises you focus on.
Your shoe selection should match the type of workout that you plan to do in the gym.
When it comes to bottoms, you should find those that have breathable fabric as they will make you feel comfortable even if you are doing strenuous exercises.
Also, make sure that they are stretchy and fit you well. This ensures that your movements are not restricted.
Form and safety are key.
There are gym leggings and shorts available. Fitted and baggy trousers may also be used but remember that if they are uncomfortable while doing your exercises, they are probably not the best to wear.
Shorts are great. But too short shorts could lead you to expose yourself unintentionally. Also, baggy pants may get caught in a machine. Find something reasonable that allows you to comfortably and safely do your workout routine.
If you are a woman, you’d want to find supportive sportswear for the gym. You could wear a sports bra underneath a shirt or underneath a fitted top. There are also tops with built-in support.
These will help you feel more comfortable while working out and will help prevent the breast tissues from stretching during your exercises. Usually, these are made of breathable material to help cool you off even if you do strenuous exercises.
As for men, you could wear any breathable top that is also water wicking or those that soak up sweat. This will help prevent overheating while you do your movements. You may also choose to wear loose-fitting clothing but make sure those don’t get in the way of your movements.
Decorative accessories are not needed in the gym. At best they will be annoying. At worst they are a safety hazard.
Of course, there are gym accessories that you could wear to help you with your workout.
Belts, straps, and gloves can all help you protect your body when you are lifting or strength training. You can also wear caps, headbands, or hair ties to keep your hair in place and out of your face.
If you prefer to work out with your own choice of music, you can also get straps that hold your phone so you can move freely while listening to them.
Just Be Yourself
When selecting what to wear to the gym, always remember that you don’t have to transform into a different person. There are different gym clothes that will suit different styles.
Plus, if you are comfortable with the clothes you wear and the way you look, then you will be more motivated to continue to go to the gym regularly. Just make sure that it doesn’t look too skimpy or intimidating to others, and add a cover-up if you are uncomfortable.
